Job summary:
This role supports a specialty chemical manufacturing operation that produces high-performance ion exchange products used in critical water and fluid purification applications. The organization emphasizes safe operations, disciplined process control, and long-term product reliability, offering experienced operators the opportunity to work in a technically rigorous production environment.

Responsibilities:
* Operate all chemical processing equipment in a safe and environmentally responsible manner to produce high-quality ion exchange products.
* Load raw materials and chemicals and unload, handle, and package finished resin products.
* Operate and monitor equipment including pumps, regeneration columns, chemical metering and dilution systems, solids washing and dewatering systems, dryers, blending and packaging equipment, mixing vessels, polymerization reactors, centrifuges, screeners, pneumatic conveying systems, acid recovery systems, filter presses, scrubbers, and basic laboratory instruments.
* Perform unit operations including resin regenerations and conversions, steaming, rinsing, backwashing, disinfecting, air-mixing, dry blending, polymerization of flammable monomers under OSHA PSM requirements, sulfonation, hydration, and caustic conversion processes.
* Promptly report safety, environmental, quality, or operational issues to supervision and assist with basic troubleshooting.
* Adhere to safety procedures including permit programs for safe equipment transition during maintenance.
* Complete batch records and production documentation accurately and on time to ensure traceability and quality compliance.

Requirements:
* Must be open to working 12-hour day or night shifts (5:00 AM-5:30 PM or 5:00 PM-5:30 AM) and must be open to working weekends.
* High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or higher in a scientific or technical field .
* Experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, food, or petroleum manufacturing environments; 10+ years of experience in batch chemical processing .
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
* Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work at elevated heights.
* Ability to be trained and qualified in respirator use and confined space entry.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe, compliant operations.
