Process Manager\n\nLocation: Durham\nJob Type: Full time, Permanent\n\nThe Role\n\nAn established engineering-manufacturing business supplying high performance materials is seeking an experienced Process Manager. This role is offered with a clearly defined pathway into management and offers autonomy in the meantime.\n\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in process optimisation, plant reliability, safety systems and a major site improvement programme.\n\nKey Responsibilities of the Process Manager\n\n * Support and optimise batch processes\n\n * Develop understanding of raw material behaviour, blending parameters and product performance\n\n * Ensure batch consistency and compliance with relevant industry standards\n\n * Investigate process deviations, downtime and quality issues using root cause analysis\n\n * Improve OEE, throughput, yield and plant reliability\n\n * Develop SOPs, operating windows and process controls\n\n * Work across mechanical, electrical and control systems with specialist support where required\n\n * Improve engineering standards and asset lifecycle planning\n\n * Manage permit to work systems\n\n * Oversee electrical isolation and lock out tag out procedures\n\n * Support ongoing plant upgrade and improvement programmes\n\n * Work with contractors and suppliers on modifications and installations\n\n * Assist with equipment specification, FAT, SAT and commissioning\n\n * Contribute to future automation and capability investment plans\n\nIdeal Candidate\n\n * Several years experience within a process engineering environment\n\n * Strong continuous improvement and problem solving capability\n\n * Familiar with permit to work systems, electrical isolation and confined space controls\n\n * Strong understanding of health, safety and compliance\n\nDesirable\n\n * Degree or HNC HND in a relevant engineering or materials discipline\n\n * Experience supporting capital projects or plant upgrades\n\n * Knowledge of control systems or PLC environments\n\n * Previous supervisory or leadership exposure\n\nWhy Apply\n\n * Clear progression into a future management role\n\n * High impact role within a major site improvement programme\n\n * Opportunity to shape the long term operational future\n\n * Supportive leadership and long term career development\n\n * Competitive salary and permanent employment
