This is an outstanding opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation that values technical expertise, innovation, and professional development.\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nThe successful Process Improvement Engineer will join a high-performing engineering team, playing a key role in solving complex manufacturing challenges, driving process enhancements, and ensuring production systems consistently achieve the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and performance.\n\nOperating from the company's Nottingham facility, the successful candidate will be part of a world-class aerospace manufacturing environment that combines advanced design with precision production capabilities.
Engineers and technicians work collaboratively across disciplines to deliver critical components and systems to leading aerospace customers worldwide.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead and implement process changes, engineering improvements, and capability enhancements within the plant.\nSupport new product introduction (NPI) and industrialisation activities, ensuring robust, repeatable, and high-quality processes.\nDevelop and maintain process documentation, control plans, PFMEAs, and standard operating procedures.\nDrive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions using structured problem-solving methodologies (A3, 8D, DMAIC).\nSupport automated assembly and test systems, ensuring process reliability through data-driven monitoring and continuous improvement.\nCollaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability and smooth transition from prototype to full-scale production. \n\nCandidate Requirements\n\nThe ideal candidate will be a proactive and technically strong engineer with a genuine passion for precision manufacturing and continuous improvement.\nDegree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Process Engineering (HNC/HND with significant experience will be considered).\nProven experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role, ideally within aerospace, automotive, or advanced engineering sectors.\nStrong understanding of lean manufacturing, process capability, and quality tools.\nDemonstrated problem-solving skills using A3, 8D, 5 Whys, or FMEA methodologies.\nExcellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across multiple functions and levels.\nPractical experience implementing process improvements and delivering measurable performance gains. \n\nSalary and Benefits \n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Process Improvement Engineer seeking to make a tangible impact within a company that truly values quality, innovation, and continuous development.
