Process Improvement Engineer (Manufacturing)Location: Runcorn, Cheshire (Full time site based)Type: 3 Months FTCUp to £50k per annum (pro rata)OverviewWe are supporting a well-established engineering manufacturer in the appointment of an experienced engineer to lead the development and optimisation of its finishing processes.This is a high-impact role with ownership of a critical improvement project, focused on driving efficiency, consistency, and scalability within production.The RoleYou will take full responsibility for identifying, developing, and implementing improvements to existing finishing processes.Key responsibilities:Lead process development initiatives within polishing and finishingEvaluate and introduce new methods, materials, and technologiesWork closely with production teams to implement change on the shop floorEngage with external suppliers and technical specialistsEstablish structured processes, SOPs, and repeatable standardsDeliver measurable improvements in quality, efficiency, and outputCandidate ProfileEssential:4+ years' experience in manufacturing or process engineeringProven track record of delivering process improvementsStrong hands-on approach with the ability to work in production environmentsAbility to influence and engage engineering teamsCommercial awareness and results-driven mindsetDesirable:Experience with finishing, plastics, or similar manufacturing processesExposure to continuous improvement methodologiesExperience introducing new processes or technologies into productionOpportunityOwnership of a strategically important projectAutonomy to drive change and implement new ideasBacking and investment to support development initiativesOpportunity to shape long-term process capability within the businessTPBN1_UKTJ
