Acara Solutions has been providing aerospace/defense and advanced manufacturing firms with staffing services nationwide for over 65 years. Our Mountain View, CA (San Jose) aerospace client is seeking a Process Engineering Manager to join as a salaried, direct employee. The target salary is $175K plus bonus, with some flexibility.
This is primarily an onsite position.
Power amplifier process experience is essential.
The role requires the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.
Responsibilities
Optimize and improve manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Identify opportunities through data analysis and implement continuous improvements including yield, throughput, productivity, and cost reduction.
Develop and refine processes, ensuring smooth production line operation and documentation.
Lead lean and Six Sigma initiatives, including waste elimination and process controls.
Provide data analytics for process monitoring and troubleshooting.
Design, test, and qualify systems and processes, including capital projects.
Lead and mentor team members, oversee hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and promote quality initiatives like first pass yield.
Job Requirements
BSEE degree; PhD in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is a plus.
At least 5 years of managerial experience leading process engineering teams.
Minimum 3 years of experience with power amplifiers.
At least 2 years of RF experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP software.
Knowledge of ISO9k and/or AS9100 standards.
Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen; Black Belt certification .
Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD), SPC/CPK/DOE.
Ability to obtain U.S. citizenship for security clearance.
