Job Description
Position Summary
The Process Engineer develops and implements cost-effective manufacturing processes for wire harness production, ensuring alignment with product specifications and quality standards. This role drives continuous improvement in cost, quality, and efficiency by analyzing production methods and optimizing materials, tooling, and assembly processes. The Process Engineer also supports new product launches and performs failure analysis and troubleshooting to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and resolve technical issues with current products and evaluate enhancements to existing product configurations.
- Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, and services.
- Lead continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives, including project planning, scoping, and execution using daily management practices.
- Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations and maintain product and company standards.
- Develop, generate, and review manufacturing process controls.
- Write, review, and update complex procedures, protocols, and technical reports.
- Create and implement process work instructions.
- Ensure all tooling and test equipment are available and operational to support production needs.
- Coordinate and implement engineering changes in a timely manner.
- Lead troubleshooting of process parameters and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in the design and development of test fixtures.
- Support the review of production designs and cost estimates/quotes.
- Obtain required certifications (e.g., IPC) within the first year of employment.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Strong knowledge of electromechanical assemblies and manufacturing processes.
- Working knowledge of production and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) tools (AutoCAD ).
- Knowledge of process control methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong problem-solving skills and effective time and resource management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- IPC certification or obtaining certification within one year is required.
