Process Engineer | Walker, MI

Salary Range: $75,000 - $109,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
• Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
• Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and scrap.
• Design, test, and commission new process equipment and systems.
• Conduct process capability studies and statistical analysis to monitor and improve performance.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams on new product introductions and process transfers.
• Ensure processes comply with safety, environmental, and quality regulations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven expertise in process optimization, statistical process control (SPC), and root cause analysis.
• Demonstrated understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Hysys, CHEMCAD) and data analysis tools.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or ERP integration
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM)
