Pay Rate: $65.00

Location: 100% Remote
Candidates may reside in the Eastern, Central, or Mountain Time Zones but must be available to work Eastern Time hours. Candidates located in the Pacific Time Zone are not eligible.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support strategic process improvement initiatives across multiple healthcare business operations. This role is responsible for analyzing existing processes, identifying improvement opportunities, developing standardized workflows, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable operational improvements. The ideal candidate has a strong healthcare background, Lean process improvement expertise, and experience managing enterprise-wide initiatives in highly collaborative environments.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, and process boundaries.
• Identify key stakeholders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and decision makers.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews and facilitate working sessions.
• Review existing standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, job aids, and supporting documentation.
• Develop detailed process maps that include workflows, system interactions, timing, and handoffs.
• Create and maintain RACI matrices that clearly define responsibilities and accountability.
• Facilitate process walkthroughs with business leaders and SMEs to validate workflows.
• Resolve process ownership and accountability issues through collaboration.
• Update process documentation based on stakeholder feedback.
• Finalize and publish process maps, RACI documentation, and supporting materials.
• Ensure documentation aligns with governance, training, and operational standards.
• Establish process ownership, governance, and review schedules.
• Support enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives and strategic operational programs.
• Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to leadership and executive stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years of healthcare industry experience.
• At least 5 years of process improvement and program management experience.
• Minimum of 5 years working within matrixed or highly collaborative organizations.
• Lean or Lean Six Sigma Certification (or equivalent) required.
• Strong experience with process mapping, workflow analysis, and operational improvement.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels, including executive leadership.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing teams without direct authority.
• Demonstrated ability to develop long-term strategic initiatives while successfully managing short-term priorities.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) operations.
• Experience with enterprise process governance and operational excellence initiatives.
