Location: St. Louis, MO 63132

If you're the type of engineer who thrives on the floor, gets fired up solving process problems before they become production problems, and knows your way around injection-blow molding equipment, this is your seat. A well-established, growing manufacturer with 20+ locations across North America is adding a hands-on Process Engineer to their St. Louis plant.
Responsibilities
- Start up new and existing equipment; perform calibrations, loop checks, and troubleshooting to ensure proper operation
- Respond to emergency work orders; diagnose hardware and software issues and restore equipment to optimal performance
- Define and manage internal quality control plans, including gauging methods and inspection frequency
- Support production on new project setups, tool changes, and program adjustments
- Troubleshoot process issues and recommend corrective actions to protect quality and maintain production schedules
- Monitor and ensure changeovers are completed on schedule and to standard
- Verify preventive maintenance is performed and accurately documented
- Set up molding machines and trimmers; install and align molds; set time cycles, air pressures, and water temperatures
- Establish run parameters for new molds and tooling
- Coordinate production schedules for maximum efficiency
- Review daily check sheets to identify operating deviations and drive corrective action
- Recommend and implement improvements to increase productivity, quality, and equipment reliability
- Direct installation of new systems, ensuring safety and specification compliance by both internal personnel and vendors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field
- Reheat blow process and automation experience required
- Hands-on experience with Aoki (ISBM/IBM/IM), Uniloy (IBM), and/or Zhongya (IM) equipment strongly
- Root cause analysis and systematic troubleshooting skills
- Experience setting oven profiles and working with infeed/outfeed conveyor systems
- Lean Manufacturing training or experience
- Strong organizational skills with sharp attention to detail
- Ability to lead and drive cross-functional project teams
- Willingness to travel regionally for training as needed
