Process Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:

  • With supervision, monitors and maintains engineering recipes and procedures to support manufacturing processes.
  • Provides engineering support to achieve customer and manufacturing goals regarding quality, yields, costs, and productivity.
  • Creates and recommends engineering solutions to minor routine manufacturing problems.
  • As instructed designs experiments and monitors test methods to generate statistically valid data and assist in the interpretation of data and implementation of changes to Standard Operating Procedures and Standard Operating Checklists.
  • Communicates orally and in writing with management, manufacturing, quality, and other appropriate functional areas, about operational issues.
  • Prepares, for approval, technical reports and presentations with cost and statistical analysis.
  • Designs the original plan of specifications for the process equipment and process details.
  • After a year on the job, employees are expected to be able to operate the tools of assigned area. This includes understanding the location and retrieval of tool logs and process/product data.
  • Employees are expected to understand FMEA of the assigned process and participate in FMEA revision.
  • Employees are expected to read and follow the environmental and safety (EHS) requirements associated with their assigned duties, complete required EHS training on time, wear prescribed personal protective equipment and report all hazardous situations they observe and any injuries or incidents they experience or become aware of.
  • Employees are also expected to fully participate in safety activities, drills and meetings as directed by supervision.
  • Employees are expected to be familiar with patents related to their assigned processes.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Skills Required:

  • B.S. degree in Engineering, or related field.
  • Two to five years of silicon-related experience, including specific related experience with chemical mechanical polishing, clean lines, visual and laser inspection processes
  • Experience with or knowledge of process equipment such as PLCS’s, heat exchangers, pumps, process sensors, etc.
  • Highly proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL programming.
  • Effective written and communication skills with ability to interface on project level.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.


This position is an on-site position with an annual salary range from $85,000.00 to $95,000.00 depending on education and experience
