Process Engineer

Location: Nashville, TN

Job Type: Full-Time | 12-Month Contract

Pay: $74.07 per hour

Position Overview

SGF Global is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support manufacturing operations at a state-of-the-art production facility. In this role, you will optimize manufacturing processes, troubleshoot production challenges, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting high-speed automated manufacturing equipment, strong technical troubleshooting skills, and a passion for process optimization in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop expert-level knowledge of manufacturing processes and production systems.
• Analyze manufacturing data to identify process constraints and improvement opportunities.
• Troubleshoot production equipment and provide technical support during equipment downtime.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve process performance.
• Coordinate with OEMs, system integrators, contractors, and internal teams on equipment and process improvements.
• Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), equipment commissioning, and qualification activities.
• Ensure proper documentation, equipment backups, and change management procedures are maintained.
• Assist with capital projects, budgeting, scheduling, and implementation.
• Identify automation opportunities that improve manufacturing efficiency and reliability.
• Support Integrated Work Systems (IWS) and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience supporting manufacturing operations.
• Experience with high-speed automated manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of variable frequency drives (VFDs), servo systems, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Experience coordinating engineering projects and working with multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in food, beverage, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or similar manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of automated processing and packaging systems.
• Experience with process automation and batch control systems.
• Familiarity with Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and manufacturing performance metrics.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and machine safety standards.

Schedule

• Full-Time
• 100% Onsite
• Nashville, TN
• Standard business hours (additional support may be required during equipment startups or production events).
