Process Engineer | Jenison, MI

Salary Range: $74,000 - $108,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
• Design, implement, and monitor process control strategies and systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs, P&IDs, and work instructions.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to scale new products and improve existing ones.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, equipment, and methodologies to enhance production.
• Ensure processes comply with safety, environmental, and quality regulations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with process analysis tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA, root cause analysis).
• Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teams.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
• Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
• Knowledge of PLC programming or industrial automation systems
• Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP)
