Our client is seeking a Process Engineer to drive capital initiatives and continuous improvement efforts that enhance ethanol facility performance and profitability. This role supports plant operations, coordinates production activities, and ensures consistent execution of processes, safety standards, and operational objectives. Responsibilities
- Identify and execute projects that improve efficiency, increase output, and reduce costs
- Manage and enhance systems used to track key production and process indicators
- Review operating data to monitor performance, address issues, and identify improvement opportunities
- Support development and ongoing updates of operating procedures
- Coordinate communication across operators and shifts to maintain consistent operations
- Support implementation of process safety programs including change management, safety reviews, and hazard analysis
- Assist with regulatory compliance and maintain required documentation and system accuracy
- Coordinate shutdown planning, inspections, and special projects while supporting workforce oversight
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in process engineering, chemical engineering, or related field
- Two or more years of experience in ethanol or similar processing environment
- Strong understanding of industrial production systems in chemical, food, or fuel settings
- Experience with office software and process modeling tools
- Background in capital project execution
- Familiarity with pressure systems and applicable industry standards
- Ability to analyze data, work within control systems, and support operational teams
- Capable of communicating effectively and maintaining professional working relationships across all levels
