Are you an engineering leader who thrives on complex technical challenges, enjoys setting direction in ambiguous environments, and takes pride in building high performing teams? Do you get energized by owning critical processes and creating a new path forward? If so, Abrasive Technology is looking for a Process Engineering Manager – Electroplating to lead our Flexibles Superabrasives Operations Team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

In this role, you’ll provide technical and people leadership for electroplating processes that are foundational to product performance and customer success. You’ll set direction, solve hard problems, and develop the team that delivers results.

You will:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Flexibles Superabrasives Operations team, building technical capability, accountability, and engagement.
  • Own electroplating process performance, driving improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and yield.
  • Establish technical standards and process discipline to ensure stable, capable, and scalable operations.
  • Lead complex troubleshooting and improvement efforts, addressing complex issues and acting with urgency to solve problems impacting productivity or yield.
  • Balance near‑term production support with longer‑term process strategy and capability development.
  • Lead new product introductions, process changes, and validation activities.
  • Champion a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (Chemical, Materials, Metallurgical, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related field).
  • 5+ years of experience in electroplating, surface finishing, or similar manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated experience leading engineering or operations teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical judgment and a disciplined, data‑driven approach to problem solving.
  • The ability to lead through influence, set direction, and develop others.
  • A hands‑on leadership style and strong sense of ownership for results.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with abrasive, flexible, or high‑performance manufacturing products.
  • Exposure to regulated manufacturing environments (medical, aerospace).
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
