Process Engineer | DeWitt, MI

Salary Range: $68,000 - $102,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize existing manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
• Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues, deviations, and bottlenecks.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and specifications.
• Analyze process data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure processes comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 2-5 years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in process optimization, statistical process control (SPC), and root cause analysis.
• Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Experience with automation systems (PLCs, SCADA) or robotics
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for process layout and equipment design
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) in a manufacturing environment
