Process Engineer:
My client is actively searching for a Process engineer focused on improving manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in a foundry.
Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer will analyze product and manufacturing methods, establish process standards, troubleshoot issues, and recommend corrective actions to improve manufacturing yields.
Essential Functions:
- Review product and tool designs for compliance, manufacturability, and cost effectiveness.
- Educate process operators on procedures and implement lean manufacturing methods.
- Develop rigging systems, fixtures, tooling, and gages.
- Provide timely support for production floor troubleshooting.
- Develop and document operating instructions to maintain process control.
- Collaborate with the Quality Team to monitor metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and assist in developing work standards.
- Utilize process analysis, improvement, and communication tools.
- Provide data to resolve customer issues and improve foundry practices.
- Utilize CAD (e.g., Creo, Solidworks) for design and modeling.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- 2-5 years of manufacturing experience .
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
- Strong troubleshooting, process improvement, and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with process capability analysis (CP/CPK).
Other Position Demands:
- Desire to work on the shop floor.
- Ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
