Job Description
An established manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Senior Process / Manufacturing Engineer to lead, inspire and deliver continuous improvement across engineering and production operations.\n This is a hands-on role for a technically strong engineer who can combine leadership, structured problem-solving and project delivery to improve processes, introduce new machinery and support business growth.\n The Role You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of departmental activities while driving improvements aligned to business plans. Acting as a technical leader, you will invest knowledge into the workforce through training, clear communication and visible leadership.\n\n Key responsibilities include:\n\nProject management of new machinery, systems, equipment and process introductions\nSupporting new product introduction and improvement of existing processes\nIdentifying and eliminating inefficiencies using tools such as 5 Whys, A3 and Root Cause Analysis\nCost estimating, documenting and supporting engineering changes\nInvestigating production non-conformances and implementing robust controls\nEnsuring manufacturing processes are supported by appropriate training, documentation and quality controls\nEnsuring compliance with current machinery, safety and environmental legislation\nDelivering targeted improvement events using data-driven analysis\nReviewing improvement results to ensure objectives are met\nPreparing reports and presenting updates to team members and senior management\nWorking closely with production support teams to reduce waste, minimise downtime and improve delivery performance\nSupporting the development of an ongoing engineering roadmap aligned to business goalsSkills, Knowledge & Experience Essential:\n\nDegree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent industry experience)\nStrong mechanical and electronic engineering fundamentals within a manufacturing environment\nProven experience in Process Engineering or a similar role\nStrong working knowledge of process engineering software\nKnowledge of process-related standards\nAbility to read and create engineering drawings\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills\nStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skills\nAbility to optimise layouts, production lines, workflows and machine operations\nExperience designing:\n\nPneumatic control systems\nElectrical control systems\nPLC and HMI software (design, modification and fault-finding)\nProficient with Microsoft Office systems\nCNC programming experience\nEnergetic, positive and proactive approachIf this role is of interest, please apply now to be considered
