Job Description
This role provides process engineering support within a manufacturing environment focused on continuous improvement of safety, productivity, quality, and cost performance. The Process Engineer will support production operations through troubleshooting, data analysis, process optimization, capital project support, and collaboration with operations, maintenance, and R&D teams. This position requires a hands-on presence in the plant and active participation in process safety and reliability initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Monitor manufacturing processes and troubleshoot operational issues to ensure safe and efficient production
- Collect, analyze, test, and interpret process data to support decision-making and improvements
- Drive process improvement initiatives focused on uptime, capacity, yield, and cost performance
- Support capital projects including scope development, design reviews, and startup activities
- Review, revise, and create SOPs and other technical documentation
- Review, update, and develop P&ID diagrams
- Participate in Plant Safety process
- Provide technical oversight or support during investigations related to safety, quality, reliability, and environmental issues
- Support specialty regeneration processes as required
- Communicate effectively with operators, maintenance personnel, engineers, and management
- Provide day-to-day technical support to plant and maintenance teams
- Collaborate as a contributing member of the technical R&D group
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve process and equipment issues both independently and in team settings
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Fluid systems
- Heat transfer design or analysis
- Systems engineering
- Systems integration
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and data analysis tools
- CAD experience
