Mechanical Process Engineer
Monday - Friday
8:15 am - 5:00 pm
Salary £48,000 DOE
Due to an internal promotion we are looking for a proactive Mechanical Process Engineer to join the team at our clients busy manufacturing site that is easily commutable from Accrington, Darwen and Blackburn.
You will be responsible for enhancing production performance and developing efficient systems on a wide range of machinery identifying opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency gains while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.
You will be working closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering teams to drive operational excellence, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities of a Mechanical Process Engineer
Mechanical fault finding and maintenance of machinery
Identify mechanical processes for manufacturing improvements and waste reduction
Collaborate withe the team to establish cost reduction and efficiency improvement
Analysing and verifying machine cycle times to ensure alignment with planned production targets
Assist in tool changes and take responsibility to set up machines in readiness for operation.
Check operator methods to ensure operations are performed safely, correctly, and efficiently Experience & Qualification required for a Mechanical Process Engineer
HNC Qualified with a minimum 3 years' experience
Experience in a Process Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering role within a production environment
Confident fault finding skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to priorities business needs
Knowledge of automation processes would be an advantage Salary and Benefits of a Mechanical Process Engineer
