Process Engineer

Piper Maddox is partnered with a leading company in the RNG and Waste-to-Energy space that is seeking a Process Engineer to join its team.

This individual will be responsible for process optimization and continuous improvement, focused on improving performance, efficiency, reliability, and overall operations.

Responsibilities:

• Experience developing and reviewing key process engineering documentation, including process designs, PFDs, P&IDs, SOPs, process calculations, and equipment/process data sheets.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA), resolving process and engineering issues, supporting vendor selection and proposals, and applying relevant industry codes and standards.
• Ability to review and interpret control systems, including PLC, SCADA, and HMI, and support testing.
• Ability to have technical discussions and collaborate effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders, vendors, and different business units.

Qualifications:

• 5–10+ years of process engineering experience, ideally within RNG, waste-to-energy, biogas, gas processing, chemicals, oil & gas, or similar industrial environments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical experience.
