Process Engineer

Scope:
We are seeking a Process Engineer with a strong background in casting or other metal manufacturing processes to join our dynamic on-site team. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of process engineering experience in a related industrial environment and be capable of driving process improvements, ensuring product quality, and collaborating cross-functionally with production, quality, and R&D teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, optimize, and monitor manufacturing processes related to metal casting and/or direct chill casting.

  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve process issues.

  • Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to achieve production goals.

  • Design and implement process improvements to enhance quality, throughput, and cost-efficiency.

  • Document standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process specifications.

  • Participate in or lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

  • Support equipment installation, commissioning, and validation activities.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing, or related field).

  • Minimum 4 years of process engineering experience in casting, direct chill casting, or metal manufacturing.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and delivering measurable results.

  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification ().

  • ASQ/CQE certification ().

  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA).

  • Proficiency in CAD and manufacturing software tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Minitab).
