Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Process Engineer with experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes with a strong focus on CNC machining. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, analytical, and able to work cross-functionally to ensure continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and safety.
Job Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, and implement manufacturing processes to support production and improve efficiencies.
- Develop and maintain CNC machining processes and programs(primarily 5-axis) for new and existing parts.
- Collaborate with machinists and production staff to troubleshoot process and tooling issues.
- Evaluate and improve tooling selection, speeds/feeds, and cutting strategies.
- Design and document standardized work instructions, setup sheets, and process flows.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to quality and process issues.
- Assist with new product introduction and ensure smooth transition from engineering to production.
- Recommend and lead process improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, scrap, and downtime.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field .
- 3-5 years of process engineering experience in a CNC machining environment,
- Strong understanding of CNC programming (Mastercam or similar) and G-code.
- Familiarity with GD&T, blueprint reading, and precision measurement tools.
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing troubleshooting and process optimization.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Able to work on-site in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
