Position: Process Engineer
Department: Elastomers

Classification: Non-Exempt Exempt
Reporting Structure: Team Leader Industrial Engineer
Educational Background Required:
- Bachelor’s degree, B.S. .
- 3-5 years of hands-on Automotive Manufacturing; minimum of 2 years manufacturing process development
- Knowledge of Plastic Manufacturing Processes
Skills and Training
- Automotive industry knowledge
- Basic Controls/Electrical Knowledge
- Basic Robotic/Mechatronic Knowledge
- Basic Mechanical Knowledge
Essential Functions Required for Job
- Create and improve Compression-molding machinery and processes.
- Work with research and development to create new manufacturing processes as needed.
- Analyze manufacturing data and suggest improvements.
- Analyze production and machinery KPIs.
- Ensure quality output of molded components.
- Interact with customers, suppliers, and internal resources.
- Establish the parameters for an optimal molding environment.
- Design and build necessary components/fixtures as needed to improve production process.
- Analyze quality control and correct flaws.
- Create new reports/deviations and yearly verifications.
- Create and maintain pFMEA documents.
- Utilize problem solving tools such as A3, 5 Why’s.etc.
- Create and maintain Work and Set up Instruction for new and existing processes
- Work with surrounding departments to complete projects on time and under budget
- Identify and generate solutions for safety incidents as they arise
