  • Monitor and assess drafting performance and ensure design quality; provide constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Quickly become proficient in client-specific drafting procedures and standards for process documentation.
  • Review engineering data for completeness and consistency before initiating drawing work.
  • Independently conceptualize and develop PFDs and P&IDs using AutoCAD and/or Intelligent P&ID software (e.g., AVEVA).
  • Generate and manage medium-to-high complexity process drawings from sketches, verbal direction, or design layouts.
  • Ensure accuracy of process drawings and documentation—excluding engineering-specific design decisions.
  • Track and maintain project status reports for assigned tasks.
  • Create and manage drawing databases within Intelligent P&ID (AVEVA), including data for PFDs, P&IDs, etc.
  • Handle administrative design tasks such as creating legends, symbology libraries, drawing platforms, and system backups.
  • Extract process data (e.g., line lists, valve lists, instrument lists) for interdisciplinary coordination.
  • Apply internal process design checklists for CAD and AVEVA drawing development.
  • Collaborate with engineering disciplines, regional offices, and fabricators to drive projects from initiation to installation.
  • Mentor and guide other designers on the use of AVEVA, AutoCAD, and intelligent design tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet project or business objectives.


Skills Required

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the process industry, with strong drafting and design expertise.
  • Experience working with EPC firms, engineering consultancies, or production facility engineering is .
  • Advanced proficiency with AVEVA software tools; familiarity with Intelligent P&ID platforms required.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, AVEVA tools, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Adobe XD and After Effects is a plus.
  • Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering .
  • Knowledge of and commitment to health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) standards.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to meet quality standards, and effective time management.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.


Education

  • Associate’s degree in Engineering, Computer-Aided Drafting Technology, or equivalent experience.
