Pay Rate: $63.34/hr
Work Location: 44 Tobey Road, Bloomfield, CT 06002
Work Model: Hybrid (1–2 days onsite)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Duration: 12 Months

Job Summary

The client is seeking a Process Control Engineer III to join the Process and Controls Engineering team supporting the Clean Combustion Parts and Services business. This role will focus on developing tenders, performing detailed process studies, and leading contract execution efforts. The engineer will collaborate cross-functionally to develop innovative process solutions tailored to customer needs across utility and industrial boiler systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Clean Combustion Services for boiler markets, including pressure part upgrades, equipment modernization, and comprehensive power plant assessments.
• Perform combustion and process calculations for furnace combustors and associated components, including heat transfer surface configurations.
• Conduct thermal sizing and process assessments for sub-critical and supercritical 2-Pass boilers.
• Select pressure part arrangements and materials based on fuels, thermal cycles, and customer requirements.
• Evaluate boiler auxiliary equipment as required.
• Develop steam generator performance guarantees and support commissioning and performance testing activities.
• Prepare material lists and engineering selections aligned with project specifications.
• Participate in and present at technical and program reviews.
• Ensure proper documentation of technical data in accordance with engineering codes, policies, and procedures.
• Act as a technical resource for junior engineers and may lead small, low-risk projects.
• Travel domestically to customer sites (<5%).

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant engineering experience.
