Your Responsibilities:
- Ensure the uninterrupted operation of the process control systems by maintaining the hardware and network infrastructure.
- Identify and address issues with control software to minimize plant downtime and disruptions.
- Configure and test software components like trips, interlocks, and alarms in compliance with Solvay and UK HSE regulations.
- Enhance the control software to optimize operability and productivity.
- Install and configure control systems for new projects.
- Provide training to site personnel on control system operations.

Your Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in DCS programming and hardware, preferably within a chemical manufacturing setting.
- Desirable experience with ABB 800xA, ABB System 6, and ABB Sattline.
- Familiarity with batch operations and processes.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, IT, electronics).
- Knowledge of industry legislation and standards related to control systems (e.g., IEC 61508/61511, EEMUA guidelines on alarm systems).
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with personnel at all organizational levels, both technical and operational, to grasp control system requirements.
