IS Process and Data Analyst AI/ML (Electric Division)

The Process and Data Analyst AI/ML serves as an embedded business partner within the Electric Division. This role combines analytical insight, business operations understanding, and AI/ML literacy to identify, support, and help deliver impactful solutions that optimize processes, enhance reporting, and guide decision-making. Analysts will regularly engage with operations and departmental teams to translate needs into insights and support the AI Solutions Team in developing scalable tools.


Key Responsibilities:

AI/ML Opportunity Identification and Analysis

  • Partner with operations teams to observe workflows and identify opportunities for AI/ML intervention.
  • Translate business needs into use cases through data-driven assessments and reporting.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and surface trends that could benefit from AI/ML models or tools.


Data Gathering and Support

  • Assist in the integration and preparation of datasets for model development.
  • Work closely with the Process & Data Engineer and Solutions Architect to ensure data cleanliness and relevance for analytical needs.
  • Document data gaps, assumptions, and requirements for engineering support.


Operational Insight and Reporting

  • Develop clear, actionable reporting to highlight process inefficiencies and optimization opportunities.
  • Build lightweight dashboards and visualizations (e.g., Power BI) to support business decisions.
  • Provide feedback loops to operations for data-driven insights.


Cross-Functional Project Participation

  • Collaborate with divisional business partners, data engineers, and developers in sprint-based projects focused on Electric Division priorities.
  • Contribute to centralized sprint planning by presenting operations and field-derived insights and data opportunities.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation of AI-driven tools.


Documentation and Knowledge Transfer

  • Maintain clear records of analytical assessments, insight reports, and operational recommendations.
  • Contribute to team documentation, supporting future scalability and solution reusability across divisions.


Professional Growth and Organizational Learning

  • Stay current on AI/ML applications in construction and business intelligence.
  • Participate in internal AI/ML workshops, Copilot training, and L&D initiatives.
  • Help shape future LMS training materials based on Electric Division use cases.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or operations consulting.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML fundamentals and interest in applying them to real-world problems.
  • Comfort working on-site or in the field to understand operations firsthand.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, SQL, and/or Python.


Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs.
