This role contributes to the design of cutting-edge turbo machinery technologies.
The candidate will help expand our knowledge and capability of turbo machines and other aerospace hardware used in military and civilian applications by overseeing development programs involving testing and troubleshooting aerospace hardware.
Key Responsibilities
Design electrical solutions to unique problems, transforming concepts into AutoCAD Electrical drawings for fabrication: panel and enclosure layouts, cable and harness assemblies, and a bill of materials.
Design Facility Control Systems (FCS) architecture from concept through drawings, construction, and commissioning.
Design Unit Under Test (UUT) control interface architecture from concept through drawings, construction, and commissioning.
Design and troubleshoot start systems, load banks, and dynamometers.
Troubleshoot electrical issues or modify facility screens to add capabilities or fix issues.
Respond quickly with quality solutions to support customers.
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
18+ years’ experience in a testing environment overseeing hardware testing.
Must be a U.S. Citizen due to contractual requirements.
Experience using AutoCAD Electrical to design start and load systems like eddy current and water dynos.
VALUED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience with PLCs, including GE, Allen-Bradley, or Emerson PLCs.
Ability to analyze output from designed loading systems.
Knowledge of industry electrical standards (UL508A, NFPA79, IEC, NEC).
Strong understanding of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and practices.
Experience operating standard test equipment: digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical measurement tools.
Programming experience with Ladder Logic, C++, etc.
Work ethic prioritizing safety and data quality.
Ability to work independently in a cross-functional team.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Problem-solving skills utilizing analytical thinking.
