About the Role

The Project/Systems Engineering function provides systems expertise across all projects, from bid through full development lifecycle. The function ensures project and statutory requirements are met, drives continuous improvement in the systems engineering approach, and guarantees solutions are designed to cost and for manufacturability.

In this role, the professional applies deep technical and systems engineering knowledge, making reasoned independent judgments based on practical and significant prior experience. Acting with minimal guidance, they serve as a referral point for complex technical matters and may mentor project managers and early career engineers.

Key responsibilities:

As the Systems IVV Engineer you will need to be able to:

• Assure Systems Engineering processes, including in-process verification and validation (V&V), ensuring solutions meet all requirements from concept through delivery.
• Develop and execute the Integration, Verification and Validation (IV&V) strategy to demonstrate compliance and system performance.
• Produce and maintain IV&V artefacts: strategies, plans, procedures, compliance matrices, and reports, providing conclusive evidence of compliance.
• Ensure correctness and completeness of system and subsystem designs, from requirements capture through integration.
• Drive the creation of verification evidence to enable progressive internal and external acceptance.
• Support system architecture, design, and integration activities ensuring alignment with design-to-cost and design-for-manufacture objectives.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and project managers, fostering effective systems engineering practices.

What You’ll Need:

• Experienced Systems Engineer with proven expertise in requirements management, system integration, and verification and validation.
• Strong understanding of systems lifecycle models, model-based systems engineering (MBSE), and traceability from requirements to validation evidence.
• Able to act independently while engaging with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure delivery of robust, compliant solutions.
