Principal Structural Engineer - Oil & Gas / Refining industries

Job Purpose Manage and execute best-in-class capital projects within budget and schedule. Oversee engineering design, procurement, and construction of projects, varying in size and complexity. Ensure compliance with project objectives, contractual requirements, HSE standards, and company procedures. Review and study grass root and brown field facilities. Responsibilities Execute capital projects within defined scope, schedule, and budget. Coordinate and oversee civil & structural package design and construction activities. Address technical issues throughout project development phases. Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco standards in design reviews and project execution. Manage design contractor activities, including work scope definition and schedule requirements. Stay updated on international project procedures, engineering phases, procurement processes, and best practices. Review and resolve daily contractors' activities during construction, ensuring HSE compliance. Contribute to the development of civil/structural package deliverables and design input for various facilities. Provide support in change order scope definition, cost estimation, and change management processes. Review project progress reports, attend project meetings, and monitor contractor performance. Review, coordinate, and monitor invoices, submittals, and implement company initiatives during project execution. Provide routine civil & structural support to facilities and review modifications. Develop and/or review testing procedures for civil & structural packages. Must-Have Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized program; advanced degree preferred. Fifteen years of experience in the Oil, Gas, and refining industries, specializing in Civil & Structural Engineering. Recognized as an expert in the field, with at least five years of hands-on field experience in construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and operation. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Expertise in Engineering Design & Construction phases with a thorough knowledge of international Codes, Standards, and Specifications. Subject matter expert with a dynamic attitude towards project improvements; PMP Certification desirable. Flexibility to work in multinational teams and mobilize to different locations, including remote areas as needed.
