Salary: Around £55,000 (negotiable)

About the Role:

We are seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to join our team in Edinburgh, working on a diverse range of onshore building structure projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a chartered engineer to take on a senior technical and leadership role within a growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of structural engineering projects across a variety of building sectors.
• Provide technical guidance, design oversight, and project management support.
• Mentor and support junior engineers within the team.
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are delivered to the highest technical and safety standards.

Requirements:

• Chartered Engineer (MIStructE) – essential.
• Proven experience working on building structures projects.
• Strong technical design skills across a variety of materials (steel, concrete, timber, masonry).
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to manage projects from concept through to completion.
