Job Description

Hiring a Founding Engineer / Tech Lead (Platform + Applied AI)

Location: San Francisco (Great location downtown)

Salary: $200k - $300K + Meaningful equity (negotiable)

Working with a well-funded early-stage company building an AI-driven platform deeply integrated with enterprise systems, already live with customers and gearing up for serious scale.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who wants to shape both the product and technical direction from day one.

What you’ll be doing:

• Owning architecture and core platform decisions alongside the CEO
• Building and scaling data pipelines + backend systems
• Developing AI-powered features (LLMs, agents, orchestration)
• Integrating with complex enterprise systems (ERP, HRIS, CRM, etc.)
• Shipping production code at pace while maintaining quality
• Leading technical direction as the team grows (reviews, standards, mentoring)

Day-to-day:

• Writing code (Python / TypeScript)
• Designing scalable systems and data flows
• Working directly on AI product capabilities
• Debugging, iterating, and improving live systems

✔ Is still deeply hands-on technically

✔ Can make high-impact architecture decisions early

✔ Thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
