Principal Engineer – Cloud Platform (High-Scale SaaS)
A fast-growing enterprise SaaS company is hiring a Principal Engineer to lead cloud platform initiatives. This is a highly strategic role focused on building scalable, high-performance systems for managing complex data workflows in the cloud.

What You'll Do:
You'll define the roadmap and architecture for automated, zero-downtime infrastructure and data systems, partnering closely with engineering leadership to drive scale and performance across a multi-tenant environment. You'll be hands-on in platform development while mentoring other engineers and shaping infrastructure strategy.

What We're Looking For:

• Deep expertise in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)

• Strong AWS experience

• Skilled in container-based deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Background in distributed data systems like Elasticsearch, Kafka, DynamoDB, or similar

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and a strong focus on observability and uptime

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including leading major architecture efforts

• Ability to operate across stacks with fluency in modern programming

Bonus Points:

• Experience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and complex dataflows

• A security-first mindset and comfort evaluating 3rd party components

• Previous experience in highly regulated or mission-critical industries

Compensation:
Up to $230K base + bonus & RSU's
