Principal Rotating Equipment Engineer

Petroplan are looking to hire a Principal Rotating Machinery Engineer to work for a major client of ours. This will be a permanent staff role based on site in the Hague. You will be reporting into the Mechanical Engineering Manager. Required skills to apply: Degree level qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or related). Chartered Engineer (CEng), European Engineer (EUR ING) or equivalent affiliation with a professional body. Demonstrable experience in the specification, evaluation and engineering of a range of rotating machinery types in an EPC project environment. Strong working knowledge of International Codes and experience with the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) and CE/UKCA marking. Experience in commissioning or operations within working facilities, able to demonstrate fault finding, issue resolution and decision-making skills is desirable. Engineering software skills. A demonstrable understanding of cross-functional interfaces and overcoming the associated challenges in an EPC environment for process facilities. Experience leading or supervising engineers both in the home office and overseas would be desirable. Highly competent written and spoken communication and able to use a range of standard software such as MS Word and MS Excel to prepare technical documents and to write technical reports.
