You will be able to adapt to new engineering situations and be comfortable in abstracting detail in order to understand the simulation and missile's behaviour!\n\nSalary: Up to £55,000 depending on experience\n\nDynamic (hybrid) working: 4 days per week on-site due to workload classification\n\nSecurity Clearance: British or a Dual UK with British citizenship\n\nRestrictions and/or limitations relating to and/or rights to work may apply. We design complex, real-time simulations that surround real missile hardware to allow us to 'fire missiles indoors'.\n\nAs a HWIL RF engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing and maintaining new and existing RF equipment and working with multi-disciplinary teams to combine RF, electronics engineering and software development to produce new capabilities that enable the HWIL team to run new simulations.\n\nWhat we want from you:\n\nBroad engineering experience with deeper experience in some of the following skill areas:\nRadio Frequency design and testing\nSystem performance analysis\nInterface debugging and system integration\nHardware/Software design requirements\nSystem design for real-time applications\nFamiliarity with Linux operating system\nFamiliarity with computer science (C++ an advantage)\nIntegration of microcontrollers into RF hardware (e.g. Raspberry Pi)Our company: Peace is not a given, Freedom is not a given, Sovereignty is not a given\n\nMBDA is a leading defence organisation.
