Power Technology Associates, Inc. has been engaged by our Long Island, NY client to identify candidates for a Principal Power Electronics Engineer position. Our client is a provider of high voltage power solutions. They are seeking a highly talented, motivated, creative, and experienced engineering professional in Power Electronics, Power Management, and Digital Controls technologies and applications, including development, testing, and validation. Qualifications & Requirements

Master’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of hands-on experience in product and technology development in power conversion and management (power electronics field). High voltage power conversion technology experience is highly desired.

Extensive knowledge of power electronics, power conversion, analog circuit design, and magnetic design principles (both low and high voltage).

7+ years leading an engineering team in a global company, preferably with direct exposure to manufacturing environments.

Demonstrated leadership with a focus on tactical and strategic business aspects.

Ability to identify and enhance team members' strengths, coaching, motivating, and directing as needed.

Commitment to fostering high performance and an environment of open collaboration and teamwork.

Customer-focused with an eye on seamless project execution and strategic company needs.

Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams (sales, marketing, operations, quality, supply chain) to drive value creation.

Excellent project management skills and knowledge of power conversion, power management, digital, and analog control engineering tools.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (~10%).
