Join a pioneering health tech start-up backed by a £20m Series A investment, already generating seven-figure ARR. We’re embarking on an ambitious journey to transform our industry-leading health platform into an AI-first solution, and we're seeking a Principal ML Engineer to lead this critical transformation from 0 to 1.

As our first dedicated ML hire, you’ll shape the future of our AI capabilities. You’ll lead hands-on development, from architecture through to deployment, integrating advanced machine learning models directly into our existing product. You'll collaborate closely with a talented engineering team of around 20 engineers, influencing both strategy and technical execution.

What you'll do:

• Architect, design, and deploy scalable ML solutions from scratch.
• Embed advanced AI capabilities deeply into our existing health tech platform.
• Work hands-on, from model training to deployment and integration.
• Influence technical strategy, establishing ML best practices across the team.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver real user value.

Who you are:

• Experienced software engineer with a proven track record delivering robust production systems (front-end or back-end).
• Demonstrable expertise in machine learning, with practical experience building and deploying ML models at scale.
• Adept at working independently and taking ownership of large technical challenges.
• Passionate about transforming products with AI and driving genuine innovation.
• Excited by the prospect of being the first ML hire, with significant scope for impact and career growth.
