What you’ll be\ndoing:
\n
- \n
Generate and assure\nconsistency within the requirement set for 12 major C&I systems\nincluding Distributed Control Systems, Control Console and Vehicle\nControl\nSystems
\n

Support the wider\nC&I design for several C&I sub-systems for Secondary\nPropulsion, Platform Mechanical and Platform\nElectrical
\n

Manage various\nrequirements stakeholders to provide consistency across the\nCentralised C&I\nteam
\n

Support the development\nof a functional design for the systems within scope for Centralised\nC&I
\n
-
Assess the design\nagainst compliance to its requirements, ensuring that the design\nrisk is mitigated as far as reasonably\npracticable
\n

Provide guidance and\ninstruction on the engineering methods/process to deliver the\nengineering delivery\nplan
\n
-
Develop guidance and\ninstruction on the engineering methods/process to ensure consistent\ntechnical\ngoodness
\n

Work with the\nEngineering Delivery Team with varying levels of SQEP to develop\ntechnical solutions, developing the team members and nurturing\ntheir\ndevelopment
\n
Your skills\nand experiences:

Essential
\n

Degree qualified in\nEngineering\ndiscipline
\n

Experience within\nregulated industry such as Defence, Oil and Gas, or\nNuclear
\n

Professional knowledge\nand experience in C&I design across the whole\nlifecycle
\n

Stakeholder management\n& communication skills
\n

Well developed\nexperience in full lifecycle requirements\nmanagement
\n

The SSNA CCI\nGovernance\nTeam:
\n
As a Principal Engineer –\nSystems Engineering you will be working as part of the Centralised\nC&I Governance Team, responsible for developing the process,\nprocedure and providing assurance for the next of\nNuclear Attack Submarine. You will be working as part of a new\nfounded governance team whereby you will have the opportunity to\ncraft future ways of working, which could lay the foundations for\nthe success of the SSNA C&I programme. We offer relocation\nsupport packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting\neligibility\ncriteria.
