Job Description
This Principal Engineer, Power Systems Engineering position involves using ADI’s portfolio of high-performance power products to solve industry engineering challenges by developing system-level solutions and references for various applications. The role requires strong circuit fundamentals, power supply design experience, troubleshooting skills, and a customer-centric mindset. It involves collaboration with design teams, FAEs, and customer visits, as well as troubleshooting system-level hardware solutions.
The candidate will gain exposure to customers and applications across diverse market segments supported by our products. A BSEE is required, and an MSEE is . A minimum of 10 years of industry experience is necessary.
Key Requirements and Responsibilities
Understanding of power electronics and power supply design
Support power requirements in customer applications across various markets, focusing on Power Conversion, Multiphase Controllers, PoL, etc.
Recommend new power product features, power supply topologies, control algorithms, and feature sets to meet customer needs and differentiate ADI products
Create technical documentation and system-level reference designs to support market initiatives
Build relationships with customers and design teams to deliver power system solutions and reference designs
Additional Key Requirements
MSEE
10+ years of experience with system-level power management products and applications
Experience with low-voltage, high-current power applications in mixed-signal environments
Knowledge of high-performance isolated and non-isolated DC/DC converters
Strong communication skills and willingness to travel
Proficiency in analog circuit design, developing power solutions for various signal chains, ADCs, DACs
Lab testing and measurement skills
Excellent technical writing, drawing, and verbal communication skills
Experience with test equipment and software (Python, LabView)
Knowledge of high voltage/high power lab safety practices
Understanding of PCB layout design, fabrication, and assembly practices
