Job DescriptionJoin Our Team as a Principal Engineer in Electrical Engineering (Power)\n\n

Location: Barrow-In-Furness (Hybrid) - 2 days onsite every fortnight, 1 day a week at Filton, depending on business needs.

Salary: Up to £57,500 (commensurate with skills and experience)

\n\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\n

\n
• Craft innovative design solutions that meet project milestones in terms of time, cost, and quality.

\n

• Manage and develop requirements and acceptance criteria for systems or products across various platforms.

\n

• Understand and support contractual and performance requirements throughout design, build, integration, installation, and commissioning activities.

\n

• Create essential documentation for the design review process, including diagrams, technical specifications, and supporting calculations.

\n

• Provide technical support during integrated performance and acceptance activities, ensuring smooth transitions from suppliers to customer acceptance.

\n

• Assist in developing estimates for project scope and resources to support bids and project planning.

\n

• Contribute to Certificate of Design activities, presenting complex technical arguments clearly and logically.

\n

• Deliver engineering solutions that support build activities, defect resolution, and change management.

\n

\n\nYour Skills and Experience:\n

\n
• BEng (Hons) / MEng or equivalent, with CEng status or the ability to meet CEng requirements.

\n

• Proven experience in electrical engineering, particularly in power systems.

\n

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

\n

• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex ideas simply and effectively.

\n

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
