Job DescriptionJoin Our Team as a Principal Engineer in Electrical Engineering (Power)\n\n
Location: Barrow-In-Furness (Hybrid) - 2 days onsite every fortnight, 1 day a week at Filton, depending on business needs.

Salary: Up to £57,500 (commensurate with skills and experience)
\n\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\n
- \n
- Craft innovative design solutions that meet project milestones in terms of time, cost, and quality.
- Manage and develop requirements and acceptance criteria for systems or products across various platforms.
- Understand and support contractual and performance requirements throughout design, build, integration, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Create essential documentation for the design review process, including diagrams, technical specifications, and supporting calculations.
- Provide technical support during integrated performance and acceptance activities, ensuring smooth transitions from suppliers to customer acceptance.
- Assist in developing estimates for project scope and resources to support bids and project planning.
- Contribute to Certificate of Design activities, presenting complex technical arguments clearly and logically.
- Deliver engineering solutions that support build activities, defect resolution, and change management.

\n\nYour Skills and Experience:\n

- BEng (Hons) / MEng or equivalent, with CEng status or the ability to meet CEng requirements.
- Proven experience in electrical engineering, particularly in power systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex ideas simply and effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
