Location: Barrow-in-Furness / Hybrid (3 days on-site)

Salary: £45,628 - £61,500 (commensurate with skills and experience)

\n\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\n

As a key player in our team, you'll be at the forefront of electrical engineering, ensuring our site standards and processes are top-notch. Your responsibilities will include:

\n

\n
• Defining site standards, processes, and technical requirements for electrical engineering related to equipment, systems, and facilities.

\n

• Conducting reviews and assessments of design proposals to ensure compliance with appropriate processes and standards.

\n

• Producing technical documentation and reports that support our engineering goals.

\n

• Engaging in problem-solving and addressing engineering issues related to your expertise.

\n

• Serving as the point of contact for High Voltage issues concerning site electrical systems.

\n

• Leading improvements in policy, equipment, and capabilities while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

\n

\n\nYour Skills and Experience:\n

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in electrical engineering, particularly in High Voltage systems. Here’s what you’ll need:

\n

\n
• Proven experience as an electrical engineer with expertise in 11kV systems.

\n

• Experience in an industrial engineering environment, familiar with commercial standards.

\n

• A degree in electrical engineering or equivalent (e.g., HND with relevant experience).

\n

• Registration with an engineering professional institute and the ability to achieve chartered status.

\n

• Demonstrated leadership experience within an engineering environment.

\n

• Proven engineering experience in a technical role with transferable skills, such as assurance.

\n

• Experience in a Nuclear Environment or similar highly regulated business is desirable.

\n

Join a dynamic team that supports a wide range of electrical disciplines. You’ll have opportunities to learn and develop in LV, HV, C&I, and Communications. Each day brings new challenges, allowing you to problem-solve and drive innovative solutions. As our Barrow site infrastructure expands, you’ll play a vital role in developing new facilities and enhancing existing systems.
