Principal Engineer - Electrical

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionHazen is seeking a qualified and experienced Principal Electrical Engineer for a variety of water-related assignments. The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of electrical power, lighting, and motor control system design and analysis for water, wastewater, reuse, and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

• Integrating with design team from initial studies and conceptual design through construction of substation, generators, pump stations, and/or treatment facilities.
• Field investigations and site visits from design through construction.
• Electrical systems design and analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5 – 15 years’ experience
• Professional Engineering license in NY
• Self-starter with attention to detail
• Candidate must possess excellent writing, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Must be proficient in all computer software typically used (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• BIM/CADD and other software (ETAP, SKM, etc.) skills are a plus.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology (MS or MEng )
