Principal, Energy Strategy

Summary:

Our data centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly scaling infrastructure efficiently delivers our products. Meta's Energy Team is seeking an experienced and self-motivated energy professional to help us grow our internal alignment across teams, supporting the decision-making efforts inside the Energy and Data Center organizations in partnership with our finance organization to manage our data center portfolio as the business scales. You will work closely with leaders and executives and bring extensive experience from both a strategy and financial lens. You will have demonstrated business and financial acumen and are organized and strategic with management, leadership and communication skills. The Principal, Energy Strategy will support the continued execution of cross-cutting scope required to scale Meta's Energy team. You will have a track record of leading inside organizations and supporting growth of major initiatives to success. This position will report directly to the Director of Global Energy.

Required Skills:

Principal, Energy Strategy Responsibilities:

Independently manage engagement on energy strategy internally in partnership with other Energy leadership team members

Engage cross functionally across Energy to develop strategy in document and slide form of internal strategy and stitch together energy and data center delivery themes and trends

Engage directly and in collaboration with others with key partners including Site Development, Finance, Legal, Accounting, Sourcing and Policy, as needed

Develop and grow relationships with key utility partners, market participants, regulators, policy makers and other stakeholders

Interface with internal organizations including sustainability, policy, communications, legal, and finance

Support continued evolution and execution of Meta's energy strategy to match changing landscape externally and company needs internally

Lead and support various energy projects as needed

Stay informed of the technical, market, and regulatory developments in the energy industry

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, environmental, or energy related discipline

15+ years of experience in navigating general commercial energy issues

2+ years of delivering broad, far-reaching initiatives related to creative energy commercial solutions

Experience with strategic communication including communicating commercial, regulatory, market, and contractual details to all organizational levels

Experience in managing multiple projects and collaborating with all internal and external stakeholders and consultants

Experience in and with utilities, utility processes, regulation and other policies

Excel, PowerPoint and/or Keynote experience

Can travel domestically and internationally as needed (10% to 20% or more at times)

Public Compensation:

$231,000/year to $292,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
