Job Description

Join a leading UK deep-tech design consultancy – South Oxfordshire, Hybrid Working Model

This established engineering business delivers complex embedded and silicon solutions across communications, beamforming and advanced FPGA-based systems. They are now looking for a Principal Embedded Software Engineer to provide hands-on technical leadership across multiple high-value programmes, shaping low-level embedded architecture and influencing technical direction across the team.

This is a senior position requiring deep embedded expertise, strong FPGA appreciation and the ability to translate requirements into robust technical delivery.

For this Principal Embedded Software Engineer role, we are looking for someone with:

• Strong experience with microcontrollers and peripherals (DMA, timers, GPIO, UART, SPI, I2C, I2S)
• Extensive experience working on FPGA-based systems
• Exposure to DSP / Signal Processing
• Experience across bare-metal, RTOS and/or Embedded Linux environments
• Ability to engage directly with customers and lead technical requirements
