The Principal Electronics Engineer, Power will report to the Electrical Engineering Manager.
You will work with:
Application:
New Product introduction for Power electronics (ranging from 3-30KW) for plasma and reactive gas , crucial for semiconductor cleaning and etching processes.
Ground-Up Design:
Development and release engineering - dive into new architectures and control techniques, leveraging every aspect of power electronics. Enjoy full flexibility to craft your own designs.
Cool Technology:
Transition from analog to digital systems, embracing cutting-edge advancements.
Collaborative Innovation:
Partner with scientists to explore control mechanisms and gas interactions, gaining insights into exciting technologies.
Interdisciplinary Work:
Collaborate with plasma physicists, material scientists, and chemists, expanding your knowledge and contributing to groundbreaking developments.
You Make an Impact By:
Leading new power electronics related product development projects involving a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Performing engineering analysis using simulation tools such as PSIM, Simulink/MATLAB, SPICE, Mathcad, or other related tools.
Developing, documenting, and executing DVT plans. Reporting results and recommending engineering trade-offs to optimize performance, reliability, and cost.
Creating and archiving design reports and other documentation.
Collaborating with embedded control engineers to integrate firmware with hardware components.
Participating in cross-functional teams to develop new products involving power electronics for plasma .
Skills You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 6+ years' experience in power electronics design.
Proven project leadership from concept to launch under schedule pressure.
Experience designing resonant inverters or power factor correction topologies in the 5 to 600 W range.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to simplify complex systems.
Familiar with:
Series and parallel resonant topologies.
Magnetics component design.
Power converters/inverters with soft switching.
PCB layout optimization for stray inductance and spacing.
EMI/EMC filtering design for power conversion.
Firmware development for digital control systems using DSP and MCU platforms.
Reliability validation related to power electronics.
Regulatory compliance testing for EMC and safety.
Semiconductor capital equipment ().
Use of lab tools like oscilloscopes and power meters.
