Principal Electrical Engineer

Costain’s engineering team are the technical heart of the business, working together with our project delivery teams to translate client challenges into robust solutions.
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing team. You will lead a team of electrical engineers and designers to deliver work on projects, studies and proposals across the project lifecycle including feasibility, concept, FEED, ECI and Detailed Design.
This is a hybrid role with 2 days based in our Manchester office offering dynamic working for the rest of the week.

Role Requirements
· The least 15 Years experience in electrical design engineering (Feasibility studies,FEED and detailed design).
· Responsibility for electrical discipline technical input for projects and/or proposals; including preparation, checking and/or approval of engineering documentation.
. A proven track record in lead engineering project roles with responsibility for discipline scope; (change identification; budget & schedule, scheduling and resource supervision).
. Chartered status with a relevant professional body preferred.
. Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
· Preparing equipment and materials requisitions for HV and LV switchboards, transformers, VFDs, Motors, Generators, UPS systems, power factor correction, trace-heating, lighting and other electrical equipment
· Experience in the requirements for CE marking of plant and equipment
