A leading multi-disciplinary consultancy in the South West is looking for an experienced and motivated Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team in Devon.

What We’re Looking For:
Degree-qualified in Building Services, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
Chartered or working towards CEng status with a recognised institution (e.g. IET, CIBSE)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical building services design
Strong technical knowledge of relevant software: AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, NES, Cymap, MS Office
Commercially aware and confident in client-facing environments
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Full UK driving licence
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the delivery of electrical design services on a variety of building projects across sectors
Manage and mentor junior and intermediate engineers, supporting their technical growth
Act as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, and external project teams
Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and contract documentation
Ensure designs meet quality, compliance, and safety standards
Support financial and project planning activities, including proposals and budgeting
Contribute to business development by helping identify new project opportunities and maintaining strong client relationships
Stay current with technical standards, industry trends, and legislation
