Senior Ecologist
Location: Flexible (Hybrid/Remote options available)
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 DOE
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Are you an experienced ecologist ready to take the next step in your career? Our client - a leading consultancy known for their progressive culture and commitment to high-quality ecological work - is looking for a Senior Ecologist to join their growing team.
About the Role
As a Senior Ecologist, you'll play a key role in delivering a wide range of ecological surveys, assessments, and reports for a diverse portfolio of clients. You'll manage projects from inception to completion, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to the continued development of the team's expertise and processes.

Key Responsibilities
Lead ecological surveys and assessments across multiple habitats and species
Produce high-quality reports for planning and environmental compliance
Manage client relationships and provide technical advice
Mentor and support junior ecologists, fostering a collaborative team environment
Keep up-to-date with ecological legislation, best practice, and industry standards
About You
Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in ecology, environmental science, or a related field
Proven experience in ecological surveying, assessment, and reporting
Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and biodiversity planning requirements
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team
