PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN LABOR GRADE VI/DAY AND NIGHT SHIFT/$26/HR
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWest Tulsa Manufacturing Shop Seeking an Experienced PMTDuties
- Lubricate bearings and moving parts of mechanical equipment with proper oils and greases.
- Adjust oil feed systems and ensure sumps, reservoirs, and wells are filled and functioning properly.
- Replace and monitor cutting oils and coolants as required for production machinery.
- Maintain knowledge of appropriate lubricants and coolants for each type of service.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including replacing air motors, cylinders, valves, hoses, piping, and fittings.
- Inspect and service oil systems, lubricators, filters, and regulators on a daily basis.
- Monitor coolant levels in production machines, replace coolant lines and components as needed.
- Maintain accurate oil stock levels and ensure the oil storage area is safe and orderly.
- Keep all work areas and oil department clean and well organized.
- Follow all safety standards and report equipment or supply needs promptly.
Skill Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, perform basic math, and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude with familiarity in lubrication, coolants, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Minimum of three months’ related experience or equivalent training time.
Responsibilities
- Perform mostly routine, semi-skilled work under general supervision.
- Exercise ordinary care to avoid damage to equipment and machinery.
- Notify supervisor when oil or lubricant supplies need to be reordered.
- Exercise care to prevent damage when servicing production machinery.
- Operate equipment safely to prevent injury to self and others.
Effort
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, and overhead reaching.
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 45 lbs.; frequent lifting up to 9 lbs.
- Regular use of ladders, stairs, and hand tools.
Job Conditions
- Work is performed in a heated, ventilated shop environment.
- Occasional exposure to solvents, caustics, dirt, oil, and grease.
- Protective equipment required: hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear.
- May require 12-hour shifts as assigned.
