Pressure Systems Engineer

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pressure Systems Engineer to join our team at our Workington Mill. Joining us on a full-time, permanent ????basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary and become part of our welcoming team.



Holmen Board and Paper is a Swedish company and a member of the Holmen Group. The Workington Mill produces premium paperboard under the brand Incada. Our paperboard is an integral part of the shopping experience for our clients’ customers. Since 2013 we have powered the mill almost entirely by fossil fuel free energy. About the role:



An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pressure Systems Engineer. 



Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will run and develop the area within budget frames, policies and overall objectives of the Mill. 



The successful candidate will:



Be a specialist in discipline or possess relevant experience



Develop/review the technical content of engineering standards for discipline



Work with technical aspects of Criticality Analysis, Failure Analysis and Maintenance Strategy.



Identify investments and major repairs based on CA, FA and MS



Support spare part requirements and manage obsolescence



Participate in root cause analysis problem-solving



Participate in downtime incidents and actions



Promote engineering workflows



Support work task templates for the quality of work planning and execution



Asset technical characteristics data gathering.



Support contractor control including inductions and competence audits



What we’re looking for in our Pressure Systems Engineer:



Be educated to HNC level (or equivalent in a technical discipline)



Have a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship



Possess an excellent knowledge and competence in maintenance engineering



Have an understanding of failure analysis and maintenance strategy



Have a good knowledge of plant processes and equipment



Be computer literate with working knowledge of ‘Windows Office’ suite



Have a good knowledge of plant management systems



Be self-motivated, work on your own initiative
